Tire Size help

Hi everyone,

Going to be getting a base 2door soon. Was just wondering if going from a 30” tire to a 32” tire is large enough to feel the need to switch the tire size on the speedometer? I figured that the speedometer is generous for an mph or two so it may line up more accurate. Please let me know what you think, and if I did need to update it, what is the best proper and simple way of doing it without voiding or messing anything up? Thank you and have a good one.

For what it’s worth , I went from a stock 32 on my Big Bend to a 34 and the speedometer is spot on. I didn’t have to change anything

And you tested that using GPS apps I’m assuming?

I have a Base and I put on 33’s and it looks badass. Never changed anything, I’m sure my speedo is off a mile or two, but so what, I don’t care enough to fix it.

ran 37s on my base 7 speed and 35s for 33 dont worry about it

Your main options for calibrating the speedometer or Forescan, and yes there is a chance of messing something up. But doesn't happen too often with simple changes if you take your time and pay attention. And also the Ford ProCal, very expensive if you're only doing it to calibrate the speedometer.

Really if you're not a speed demon probably not a big reason to worry too much about it. Meaning if you think you're going to be running like 80 down the highway, you don't want to really be doing 84+.
