That would be a big NO. Clean is fine but tire gloss smacks of mall crawler.

Nothing wrong with having it look good on the road to then get muddy off road. Rinse and repeat...
This is what I use on all vehicles. It gives it the deep black look without the gloss shine and lasts until it meets a few mud holes.

Hard no for me - even ask them not do to it at the car wash when I go and make them take it off if they do. Makes my tires look like this:

Tire shine? Is that still a thing?

I thought that went out with acid-washed jeans and Reebok hi-tops back in the 90's.

mine were all wet look shiny when I picked it up, looked goofy to me, tires aren't a "looks" thing to me anyways, just a necessity. I won't be wasting money on some shine product, just keep them reasonably clean. Luckily the wet look was gone pretty quickly.

I will use UV protective treatment on the plastic parts, not sure yet what but 303 products seem to be a favorite of many, so I'll probably try those. But the tires I'll leave alone, I never had UV damage on tires and don't expect them to be shiny black dress shoes either.
