Shame on my for not doing my homework on this company to start with. I had ordered the mud flaps thinking there were of higher quality but when they arrived I was very disappointed in the product. When I attempted to return them I was informed of the 20% restocking fee. I suspect that companies that have that kind of fee are already on the edge of sham since a quality company that stands by its products needs no such fee. I asked for the fee to be applied to another product (a curt trailer hitch). They agreed then informed me I had to spend the balance with the company…in effect keeping my money. I chose to get the refund and walk away wiser.

Now this is just me…I can be wrong most of the time (just ask my wife) but I will never do business with these guys again. Scum of the earth. I would poss this along and of course disregard if you feel different. There are plenty of providers out there who do a great job with returns…this is not one of them. D

Update….I went online to review the refund policy and in fact there is nothing that states a 20% restocking fee. I called them and they said “We will get back to you…I couldn’t find it either”.

BUT, the quality of the mud flaps is the issue, and a restocking fee should not apply. I purchased the TMB mud flaps and the hardware/brackets were very poor quality. I took pictures to back up my claim. They wanted to have someone remake them and send to me, but I did not accept. I sent them back and was able to get a full refund. Seems they have not improved on the quality. Attached are examples of the quality, left to right bracket comparisons of slots with screw. Slots too small for screw or large and not leaving much material at edge of bracket. Had to pay return shipping but at that time paypal paid for returns.

that is what I found as well. This is a complete scam of a company. DO NOT DO BUSINESS with them.

I only needed front mud flaps so I ended up making my own. Maybe cost $40 total since I had some aluminum stock. Happy with the outcome.

Although it is on me I wanted to let others know of the problem. At least some good will come from my mistake….that is why I posted. Think even you can see that.

If it's not posted anywhere on there or on the product page, then you shouldn't be charged the restocking fee. I would save the website pages before they edit them and maybe even escalate it with your credit card if they don't honor that.

Damn I should have argued for a refund as well. I got those same mudflaps and the quality of the hardware was shit. I ended up keeping it because between the stocking fee + return shipping.

Personally I think they should honor it and not charge the restocking fee for any orders placed before that was available, but that's for them and their customers to hash out.

You should have your own build thread so you can provide more details like where you got the flap material, etc. Otherwise this awesome example of what you made will get lost behind the Tickle My Bronco stuff.

You can tell they just slapped up that last sentence and didn't even bother with the space.
This is so beyond scummy that they should not be allowed to advertise on the forum
