I received the 2 sets of Recon 1 lights by Suparee from a promo giveaway here on 6G.

They are small pods rated at 20 watts. They measure at 2” square with 1.5” lens size.
I did not realize I was getting 2 sets, a spot and a flood. Nice surprise when I opened the box. Thanks Suparee.

They come with covers also for those states that need them.
Nice looking housings, the powder-coat looks great.
All Stainless hardware throughout.
Mounting bolts are round head which I like as they don’t require 2 wrench’s to tighten.
Two extra pigtail plugs if you want to wire yourself.

Package is very nice with magnetic closure if you’re into that sort of thing. I just toss it in the trash so not big on fancy packaging myself.

A nice wiring harness, however it’s a little overkill as it has 2 relays and this setup only needs one.
The written instructions need updated, as the harness has a white wire lead that needs power and unfortunately it’s not mentioned in the 4 step instructions. If you look online for their video you find a mention of it.
This extra white lead should be tied into the harness and through the switch like other brands of lights do for a cleaner install.

I setup the 2 spots on my driver side cowl for ditch use. The fogs went in my rear bumper. These should be perfect for backup lights as they are not super bright, that sucks for everyone else in the parking lot when you kick on 4000+ lumen backup lights.

I made my own harness with the provided plug ends so I could eliminate the relays and wires for a cleaner install, with the Broncos aux switch’s it’s silly not to since the relays and fuse are built in.

The prewired plug ends are great and another plus is you can save the unused harness for other projects.

Everything works as they should, I bypassed the DRL since I do not use them but I tested them and they worked fine and were amber in color.

I will get out in the woods after dark this weekend and report back on the output. I don’t expect daylight at night since these are spec’ed a little over 1000 lumen.
