OK, Update; canceled the order, got a refund. used a scraper to scrape every Dealer in Ontario. Called about 15. Got incredible deals, thousands off, think 33's, black package, vinyl seats, hardtop, everything but what i wanted. As i am not offroading (poser for sure) i wanted a big bend, HT sound deadening, steps, cloth, auto, nothing else. Ended up calling the dealer who initially got me started on this crazy trip, and he had one just in this morning, and i could pick it up, everything i wanted in Marsh Grey. Still got thousands off, and i made a CC deposit on the phone and checked the vin on the phone call.
Bottom line, don't factory order if you are not prepared to wait. Call around, I made 4 deposits before i settled- a dealership in scarbrough even tried to scam me extra $4000 on signing, after confirming 3x and in writing that there was no other costs. Ford dealerships are not all the same. If anyone is in Ontario, and you want a great dealership go with the Barry one- they bent over backwards for me and I was so appreciative, I just didn't want to pay for all the extras on such a short lease (24mo).
Super fun ride, having a great time with it. Biggest vehicle i ever owned, punchier than I thought it would be. Love taking off the driver/pass roof. And love the sub $540 lease payments 2k down vs the Alfa at $750mo/39mo w. 10k down. Probably could have gotten a better deal with this big bend- but honestly just tired of spending time on it.
