That's a tough spot for a stripped bolt head.

If it were me, and the non destructive methods don't work, I would take a big bastard file and spend a few minutes making new "flats" where a big crescent could grab it tightly and break it free.

Worst case scenario, cut the bolt head off with a angle grinder and zip wheel (or hacksaw), then deal with the stud outside of the vehicle (or take it to a shop and let them do it if you have trouble). I would aim for the point that the bolt meets the washer, which should give as much stud left to work with as possible, and is less likely to scratch the frame.

If you have one in your tool arsenal try a pipe wrench.

Too late now probably, but you needed an extractor nut / set.

Not sure if there is room for a bolt out tool but man they work great. Basically it’s a inverted easy out. Looks like a socket but has wrench flat ms in the outside too.

I second this. Manually file new flats on the nut with a big and very course file. I had to do this on an oil pan bolt once. Once the new flats were on I got a 12 point socket to fit it very tightly over the new flats/points and was able to remove the nut.

Nice. I never thought to file down with intentions of fitting a socket. That would be a great first step before my more agressive thought of making two long flats for a crescent. Would be way easier to ratchet/unscrew too, once broken free.

Update: mechanic came, and almost couldn’t get it out without taking out the body mount but he managed with an easy out set as some of you pointed out :)

Thank you so much for the help and suggestions yall!
