Steering Assist Fault

Bumping an old thread. Had this fault on our 24 bronco raptor at startup this am. Cycled ignition off/ opened door/ closed door/cranked again twice before it went away. Zero issues as far as performance.
First and only time it has occured. Drove to work and no issues.
I will scan the ecm when I get home this evening and see what I can find.

Find anything? We just had this issue for the first time today, '24 Raptor 5,000 miles.

Embarrassed to admit I forgot to even look into it. Obviously it hasn’t occurred again.
Will scan it this weekend and report back. Thanks for the reminder.

Scanned the bronco and this was the only DTC that was logged. Not sure if it's helpful or not but that is all I have at the moment.

Thought I would add to this.
2021 Badlands, 4cyl.7MT. 46,000 miles. zero mods. Steering assist faults back to 2023. 2 in July, 13 since 8/25/2025
This is impossible to parallel park. It happens at low RPM and steering left or right. I know when its going to fault because it feels like hitting a bump stop in the middle of a turn.
It would be impossible to off road with this through tight turns in the woods, and forget about rock crawling at all.
so the first time the dealer looked at it found no issues, second time was on 10/25 for shock recall and the said they did a bunch of software updates. Did absolutely nothing to fix the issue. Now my warranty is up for everything except powertrain, so if the steering system fails its on me. I'll have them check it again when i get the transmission removed and repaired for the growling 5th and 6th gear synchronizers!
