Alma was fantastic, used to chat with her back in the early 2000’s. I preferred the PPI build of the Bronco though.
I agree on the PPI build, but I couldn’t find a pic I liked. I think I still have some of those teal colored stinger interconnects in a box in the garage 🤣 I do miss my PPI Ax606 and 600.2 art series amps.

I have a A600.2 sitting in the house, haven’t used it in 15 years. Considered putting it in the new Bronco but not sure yet.

So it looks like the Stealthbox will be a single 10TW1... I think I will just get a custom one built because a 4 door SUV needs more than that.

I'm not trying to say that you don't need more than a JL 10TW1 but a JL 10TW1 in a custom JL Stealthbox with the proper amp should be more than enough for most people just looking to add some solid bass to their Bronco.

This. The enclosure is every bit as important as the actual driver- and that's where the price premium for the Stealthbox comes in. It'll be tuned to extract every last ounce of bass goodness from that single driver, and should satisfy 95% of Bronco owners.

I'm curious to see if they'll offer something like what they do for the Wranglers, where they have an option to add a Stealthbox to either side of the trunk - from the Crutchfield reviews, sounds like a lot of Wrangler owners double up.

Well I listened to the JL 10TW3 in one of MTIs tailgate boxes and it sounded pretty good... Alpine is also making a new shallow mount sub so interested in that one as well.

Does anyone no whether JL Audio is planning to create a stealthbox for the Bronco as they did for the jeep? Or whether it’s even possible to build something like that for the bronco?

https://www.jlaudio.com/collections...-j-jl4dpas-10tw1-2-car-audio-stealthbox-94666

I had a stealthbox in my JKU with the shallow 13". I kept it to use in the Bronco. I let a guy out of Long Beach, MS use my 2dr for a template to design a prefab box. He has a design for the tailgate and one for the passenger side like the JL box. He also is working on pods for rear speaker replacement. You can check out his ebay store here https://www.ebay.com/str/jeepboxguy. He only has 1 Bronco box listed but you can check out his Jeep stuff for examples. Send him and email and tell him what youre looking to do. His prices will be way better than JL. And he can make them to fit pretty much any sub of your choice.

thanks for the recommendation. I reached out to him and he said he has a template for the two door but not the four door which I have. Appreciate the help!

One of the hardest hitting boxes I ever built was my very first one. I was still in high school, had very little money, and even less tools.

Went and bought pre-cut foot wide boards. Connected them in a triangle using hinges and duct tape to seal the seams. And the end caps were made of that cardboardish pegboard that I could easily trim flush. Slap two of the cheapest 10-in subs I could buy at the time... And pounded the crap out of my car.

Even ended up getting a ticket for noise pollution.. (Man that cop was a dick) :D

Contacted JL Audio today and they sent me a photo of the setup. It’s a single 10” TW1 that will go in the location where the B&O sun is.

I’m thinking $900. An equivalent Jeep model with the same sub is $829. Back in the day my first Stealthbox for the center console of my 2001 F-150 cost me $350.

I was being a bit facetious, but highly doubt it will be less than $999. I too had a stealthbox in my old accord back in the day, a 10W3. Was a great setup around $500.
