Mine is squeaking pretty bad as well. I'm at 24k on my Big Bend. Been doing so for the past 10k miles. @Ford Motor Company any fix for this?
Hey Mike,

Ford reached out in April but never followed up after I completed their survey. I took my Bronco to two dealers several times from Feb thru June and finally just decided to handle it myself. Since I sanded the pads and rotors down in early June, I haven’t had any squealing.

So that's it? Not even needing to replace them? What about the rotors?

Nothing after this initial communication.
As in all you needed to do was same down the pads a bit. Rotors aren't warped or anything else?

Yes, just took some semi-coarse sanding paper to them. The rotors were fine. And as a bonus, you get to see how easy it is to replace these pads.

Gotcha. My clutch pedal squeaks horribly. My dealer is useless about this too.

Hello, Michael! Send us a private message with your VIN and the name and location of your local Ford dealer.
I’d be happy to see what I can do to assist with this noise concern. Thanks!

Mine have some squeaking as well when I first drive it in the morning or after work, i.e. so it's been sitting a while. It's just the first couple stops and then it goes away, hopefully it doesn't get worse. Even before the squeaking I've noticed that the brakes bite hard the first few stops. For example, coming up to a stop sign, the last few feet where you expect a gentle stop I have to be careful because the brakes can bite hard, almost like slamming on the brakes.

I have just over 3k miles and it has been doing this the last ~1k miles. Never had a vehicle do this before, I'll mention it when it goes in for the first oil change but not expecting them to find anything.

The usual culprits for brake squeak all the time is usually glazed pads, rotors, rust lip on the rotor contacting the pad. Some brake squeak, especially intermittent, first thing in the morning or in damp humid weather is considered "normal" by Ford.

Knocking the glaze off the pad will help for a little while but will probably come back. When we deglaze, it usually means beveling the leading edge of the pad to get rid of the perpendicular contact between the pad and rotor. A lot of squeaks are a result of that 90 degree contact. There are some outliers that the problem is with the pad itself either due to how it was made or inconsistent friction material mix. Humidity/rain make the rotors get a rust film pretty fast, like overnight. While no one like a squeak, Ford deems some normal depending on the conditions when it occurs.

Mine are squealing too. It has been on and off since i bought it, but it will go away after heavy brake usage (1 pedal mode on the trail).

I have asked the dealer about it a few times and there is no resolution available.

I am ordering a set of PowerStop Z36 pads (Z36-2414) to see if that is the issue - they are carbon fiber ceramic pads and should make a difference.
Hi there! Would you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership name and location? I’d like to look into this concern on my end.

Mine have been starting to squeal as well, started probably 8500mile mark on my 2022 badlands. Doesn't seem to be an issue during harder braking, mostly a terrible squealing noise when going slower. Makes drive through super embarrassing. Anyone have any real communication from @Ford Motor Company or are they mostly just replying to make it seem like they're actually interested, and just leaving us out to dry?

Yo Ford. Where's my non constraint Black Diamond at?? All these loaded Broncos continued to get picked up for scheduling same week they place the order...My dealers say they have allocations too. So what's the excuse now??Make it make sense? I thought 4door soft top black diamond was best configuration now?
