You said you don't drive off road, didn't you? Either way, I think someone would want it for two main reasons..one is to future proof it, should you decide to add bigger tires at some point, and be able to get away without re-gearing you will grealty appreciate the taller gears. Secondly, the low end you get is better off road; more usable. You don't want too high of a crawl ratio with an automatic, and don't need it to be super high with the auto, but in this case I think getting a little bit taller gears is advantageous....and that thing will take off like a rocket when pulling out into traffic (maybe that's reason 3)...Not sure why anyone would want/need this? With automatic, Badlands with 33s and 4.46 crawls slower than Sasquatch with 35s and 4.7. Ford is not stupid! They chose this gearing carefully to optimize drive characteristics across trims and packages.
