I bought one of these All-Top spare tire trash bags a while back before an overlanding trip but couldn’t figure out how to get it installed on the Bronco rear tire so left it folded up in a corner of the garage.

I recently re-discovered it and wanted to see if anyone has advice on how to use this with a bronco? The instructions say to cross the straps behind the tire in an X but there is little clearance to allow that on the bronco. Alternative is just to hang it from the roof rack but don't want it to bang against the body if I put heavier things like firewood in there.

Suggestions?

Loosen the tire to get the straps back there?

Thread straps between spokes on the tire rim?

Tie it up across the C-Pillar inside?

Just clip it to the hitch receiver and let it drag behind you?

I use a similar trash container while off-roading and I cross the straps in a somewhat janky way and then hold it all together with a 2” ratchet strap that cinches around the spare tire. The ratchet strap can also hold fuel tanks but even when I don’t bring fuel the 2” ratchet strap keeps the trash container from flying off.

I rock a trasharoo with ease. I use 1/4 rope on pull ratcheting buckles. I crisscross behind the tire. Hold super tight and better than the stock 2” webbing.

I have been looking for something that hangs off the driver side of the spare so as not to mess with the rear camera with no luck…

I use some saddlebags for the motorcycle.

Not just for trash, but misc. items that otherwise don't have a home.
