Soft top wiring harness

Has anybody confirmed officially with Ford whether the factory soft top Broncos have the rear prewired for wiper and defrost....when I had my 94’ bronco one of the first things I did was buy a bestop soft top, liked going topless and got tired of finding somebody to help me remove the heavy hardtop, I could roll the sides and back windows up for a safari style top and it was a nice look compared to all the factory hard tops on Broncos at the time .....I just find it hard to believe Ford will use a different wiring harness for trucks ordered with just a soft top vs dual option or hardtop, especially since some tops won’t even be available for another year or so.....

so to summarize does anybody know for sure (not guesses, rumors, prototype inconsistencies) but actually confirmation one way or another

I was told by my dealer that soft top from factory will not have wiper or defrost hook ups. Take it for what its worth. ??

my dealer got the confirmation from Ford direct, if you order soft top only you will not get the wiring, plumbing or switches on the dash. The Bronco team that came through town recently for the touch a Bronco event also confirmed it in their presentation.

I'm sure you can add it later on, it'll just be a bit pricy, I'd guess lots of panels need to be removed to run all that stuff.

They’ve mentioned this on every bronco nation vehicle walk around video. I was actually thinking the other day, “why do they keep mentioning the soft top no-harness thing, everyone knows this”.

now I know why they mention it in every video. And apparently that’s still not enough.

Factory soft top WILL NOT have any wiring or washer fluid lines. This has been asked, answered and confirmed in many other threads.

I guess with that attitude since everything has been discussed add nausea on this forum for the last two years there’s no reason to post anymore we can just shut down the interactive part of the forum and just use it as a database to research....so everytime there’s a new thread On tire size, Im sure y’all with the snarky comebacks are lambasting the op for posting this well discussed topic yet again right....

Yes, sometimes you can get "curt" answers, particularly when that horse has been beaten to death already. What you are missing when you say you don't want to be told to search is that you are effectively telling someone else to search for you, and then present that proof to you.

It's not like we all have the URLs burned into our heads that we can recall them on command - some people here will courteously do a search and bring that back for help, as was done for you.

A bit more effort and a lot less attitude will get you a lot further. In any case, I too would love to have the Bestop soft-top, but you cannot order it that way - only as an additional top, not an either/or as far as I can tell (and I could be wrong). So unless you are only going to have a soft top on it and love the Ford Factory soft top (or are willing to toss/sell it and get the Bestop) you are better served to get the MIC top (with the wiring connections) and order the Bestop later.

Yes, you will have a wait as MIC is in short supply. But I'm betting that is better than trying to wire/plumb it later if you want the hard top for yourself, or for resale value.

Just my two cents, but the search feature on the forum is horrible. You are often better off to search the question in Google and link back to the posts on the forum in my experience. I would say the biggest issue with asking a question that has been covered a lot is it brings back all sorts of urban myths and bad info. That being said, it’s not a big deal and people can/should ignore posts that trigger them

As others said...it has been confirmed many times over. Doesn't mean Ford won't change their mind or back pedal like they have done on so many other things. hell maybe 2022 will be different.

But as of today... If you do NOT order your bronco with a hard top, you do NOT get these...
