Hey folks,

I'm hoping this is just one of those OCD things that bothers me, and isn't just an issue for my Bronco.

Below are pictures of my drivers side and passenger side soft top side windows. You can see on one, the window is completely flush near the back of the vehicle. The other sticks up slightly.

Is this normal? I have uninstalled and reinstalled them a few times and it's still the same. There's no large gaps at the front of the side window either. The side that sticks out a bit I do have a very small crack on the plastic thingy that hooks onto the back window, but it's not what's causing this issue at all. I've also checked my rear window and it appears to be installed properly too.

Any thoughts? Am I missing something here, or does your soft top have this issue on one (or even both) side windows?

Thanks!

I just picked up my Bronco this weekend and it looked exactly the same as yours. On the drivers side though I started at the top edge and pushed it firmly in and forward towards the front which made the seal engage further in. Worked my way down to the bottom. The very bottom corner still stuck out like in your picture so I fiddled with it a few minutes it seemed that I got the fabric corner to clip over the plastic corner under it and now looks almost identical to the passenger side.

I'm a bit OCD as well, but with a fabric top, I don't see fitment ever being perfect and identical side to side.

Thanks, and congrats on your new Bronco! I tried giving it some more "oomph" and it definitely helped. It's not exactly perfect like the other side, but it is better and I can likely live with it - for now. 🤣

I think my fabric piece might be sticking out a bit because the plastic on the back of it cracked and broke off a small piece. Doesn't impact the window holding, but it may have screwed up that fabric piece a bit.

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

I got my Bronco on Friday 7/15, noticed the exact same thing on Saturday morning…triggering my OCD as well.

I was concerned at first the fabric was coming away from the plastic, but after examining it it isn’t. Just standard deviation in the manufacture process I imagine.

For mine it is the passenger side that sticks out for the last half inch or so.

For me, when this happened, I just kind of “rolled” or “rocked” the hard plastic corner piece of the long back panel. This is what the side-panel is latching into.

So, while I roll the plastic column *away* from the side panel, I push that seam further into the slot.

let me know if that makes sense.

Mine was doing this the first couple times I took the windows out but then I was able to get it flush. I assumed it was a break in period (for me and the window) causing it or possibly the temps I was trying it in.

My next post will be “Anyone have a part number for a side window? I put a hole through mine…”
