Hello team!
Yesterday I finally decided to nail down the source of a rattle that has annoyed me from day one on my 2022 Bronco. This rattle usually happens at low-to-medium speed when driving over uneven/cracked road that makes the rear of the vehicle shake.
After testing all of the surfaces, I finally isolated the source of the rattle to the soft top crossbar seen in this video. When I hit on the crossbar with my hand it makes the same rattle/vibration that lasts about 1 second after tapping it. It appears that there is a tension wire that goes through this crossbar for the soft top release mechanism and I suspect that it's that wire that's rattling in there. The soft top has otherwise been great and I'm a big fan.
Does anyone have similar issue with their soft top or know of a fix to suggest?
My 2022 Bronco is out of its warranty and this will not be covered, unfortunately. So I'll need to be able to handle this fix myself it looks like. Thank you in advance.
