I have owned and restored several convertibles. As long as you care for it properly you will have no problems. I have owned ragtops from the 60's to modern day. The white ones were the most difficult to keep clean. Black is definitely more forgiving. Wash it regularly and you will be fine. I also live in an area where salt is used on our roads and have never had staining from it. The plastic windows do not last nearly as long as the top. Be careful not to scratch them and don't stack them together without a soft fabric between them. All common sense I know.im wondering how easy/hard road salt on the soft top is to get off..
