I have a soft top and am looking for some good ski rack options. I haven't seen anything yet that can carry snow boards and skis efficiently. Let me know what you are all doing. thanks

One other option would be to go with a hitch mounted rack. Quadratec, Thule and Yakima all have options. Most require you to start with a hitch bike rack and then add a specific adapter for skis and/or snow boards.

You also could look at the Yakima exo rack system (albeit, you may need a hitch extender to get it to interface with your spare tire proplerly).

Soft top is definitely limiting for roof options. Gobi is another one that can work I think, but $$$.

I used a hitch mount rack with this setup for skis. This works well and allows full access to all my crap in the back.

How bad is the debris/salt/whatever on your skis? Are you constantly having to tune?

I like this set up but have been hesitating.

They do get dirt on them but I did order some cheap unpadded bags on Amazon which will keep dirt off. No need to tune so far

As a licensed race coach, certified instructor, and former racer chaser I'd never use that rack. My skis go in a box or inside.
