Hey Everyone,
I am considering the Mabett Mud Flaps and from these forums the advice seems to be to replace the included hardware with the stainless steel option. I’ve learned from Mabett that the included hardware is electroplated carbon steel. I know from past experience in the winters in Ontario Canada the salt will start to rust this type of hardware almost immediately.
So I’m set on upgrading to the stainless steel option but I’m seeing differing opinions on what sizes I need. I am seeing references to M6 Socket Head style screws and the occassionally mention of mixing in M8 Socket Head style screws. For the required lengths I am seeing a variety of sizes from 11mm,15/16mm & 20mm.
So what is the consensus on sizing for upgrading the hardware?
Thanks
