The Goodyears are special run, because god forbid they say Wrangler on the sidewall.
Right, because as we all know, God hates Jeeps.

True. Obviously if the demand in the form of orders for options is lower than the survey results...then there won’t be the expected delays.
Yeah we were saying the same thing. I saw every post but yours before I posted my reply. :)

Well, would Levis sell jeans thay said Wrangler on them?

Would Jeep put tires that said Bronco on them onto their Jeep Wranglers? Not one damned tire.

Would you put your competitors name on your product? Only if yours was a knockoff, lol

The problem with it being based solely on that survey as they stated, is that gave Ford approximately 9 months to fix the estimated supply shortages that they would have. Some things I understand 9 months not being long enough but the lux package? There must have been another issue in the process that prohibited Ford from contacting suppliers and increasing quantity requests. Besides Ford having multiple issues after reveal and reservations should have indicated a huge demand for the Bronco and start changes then to supply requests.

I'm pretty sure the other issue you question might be covid, has really put a link in the whole supply chain.

May have been a simple ploy to push some folks to MY2022 to thin the herd, so they can try to keep up with demand year one. 🤷🏻‍♂️

So what is the speculation on why the 2 door is delayed? MIC top? Higher take rate? Combo of both maybe?

Like all the others, it’s a higher take rate than expected. They probably estimated based on Jeep’s two door rate, and as we all see, the actual rate is much higher than that.

No, it was based on the surveys Ford conducted of reservation holders. Ford stated that based on those surveys, certain higher demand options would likely be delayed.
This is a classic example of how difficult it is to match anticipated demand with available supply based on research of self-reported data (i. e., sometimes people lie, fool themselves, change their minds). It is difficult to do with only a few variables not to mention all the possible options involved here. Example: if you asked me 6 months ago if I would order leather seats I would have answered an emphatic no because my wife does not like them. But, 6 months later I now see it is the only way I can get carpet, electronic controlled seats, and rear cup holders and I submitted my order with leather seats.

I think it's the MIC top. If they re-tooled to get a smoother surface and reformulated the resin to get the darker color that would have taken some time. Plus I think there was a thread months back about some leak issues.

But that would then affect the 4 door as well. I don't believe the 4 door MIC top has reported any delays, or did I miss it?

I was good with the original tops look but the new version will be even better.

The dual top option was one of the late availability items. Not shipping till late summer.

Edit: The 4DR has the soft top standard and MIC or Dual top is optional. Most of the most recent MAP photos had topless 2 DRs or with a fastback soft top.

Have to agree, it is more synced with the rest of the plastic.
