These images show me the SQ flares just look way out of proportion and GOOFY.
You could SIT ON THEM! Have a PicNic on them!
I will still order SQ - but buy normal flares and have a much better look with the Flares to Body proportions
BONUS = No need for spacers to get the tires to step slightly proud of the flares

keep in mind, some states require tires to be covered. Even though I see tons of trucks and jeeps on the road with tires sticking way out, technically they need to be covered here.

ITs actually one reason I want a squatch, if I don't squatch and go with wider 35's than the BL 33's, I'd need new flares anyway. might be a dumb reason but since I'd go 35's as soon as the 33's wore out, might as well just get them from the start. easier to go down a size later.

Yes they do . I owned a custom accessory business for 20 years and everything we did was illegal it seemed . Constant barrage of it's too low , it's too high , it's too loud , those neon lights are distracting , your window tint is too dark , you can't have headlight covers , your tires are too wide Bla Bla Bla .
Many rigs here in Illinois with tires extending past the flares, some quite a bit. If that is illegal here, seems like it's not often enforced. Guy down the block from me (Chicago burb) has a 4 door mall crawler Wrangler with 35's sticking nearly halfway outside the flares. That guy must spray snow and road grit on everyone around him.

So its a matter of taking the risk, then what level of time and money it takes to correct IF you get cited.
Luckily, fenders are a 10 minute swap
But its a hassle to get a ticket signed off
There’s also the state inspection issue which varies. My state eliminated it a few years ago (thank God) which means I don’t have to bust off after market wheels and tires every year and put stock on for inspection. Just another chore if state requires.

Imagine many states have yearly inspection.

No. Those are official accessories!

If you buy a Cyber Orange Bronco, you’ll be forced to buy these in this color when you upgrade to 37’s!
They come standard with VB OBX.

I think the proportions that universally get the heads turning - are when the tire is slightly proud of the...
They look proportional to me.

I drive several miles of gravel every day and get enough mud and junk on the body with a regular car. I definitely don't need protruding tires whipping tons of **** everywhere -- I already have a SxS set up like that and spend an hour or more removing mud every time I take it out after a rain.

I had to look it up and it's 15 states... yuck.

Im sure someone will make a flare that starts higher up on the fender - for the perception of larger gap - even if not actually cutting metal

I reached out to Bushwacker to see if they had any info or pictures of the flares listed on the Parts & Accessory List we've seen. They came back and said that they had nothing to show 'at this time', and to get back to them in 'late March'. (quite possibly after the B&P update then)

Just by looking at the styles that they offer, I'd bet on the fact that a couple of them, especially one of the pocket styles, will extend up to the wheel opening body line and be a smoother transition/arc instead of an abrupt angle like the factory.

Sadly, my State is one of those that requires the whole tire tread to be covered, and I've seen Pickups/SUV's that the don't have theirs covered, but those vehicles have mudflaps that hang down to cover half of the tire diameter.

It seems if you have one or the other, they let it slide. (depending on their mood)

Does it really matter what the state requires?
Do you think people with jacked up 4x4's and wheel spacers get pulled over and the CHP pulls out a straight edge to check for coverage?
It matters to the manufacturer yes

I’m used to these bumpers so those flares are no issue. ?

Chrome diving boards on an E30 look fine when the wheels and window trim matches.

I don't even think they made chrome window trim for my E30 wagon. Just black. (But it naturally came with the short black stubby euro bumpers)

I wanted to put euros on but these old birds have grown on me for some reason.

In Wisconsin, they are not even pulling people over for speeding anymore. People doing 80+ now days in 55 zones. Can’t image them measuring the size of your “flair”.
