Rough Country sunshade installation?

Has anyone successfully installed one of these ? If so what needs done to the front center clips to get them to hold. They seem to be impossible to make stay in place

it’s by Rough Country, other than this issue it’s nice. Stays tight and not too much flop in the wind

Don’t have one yet, have a custom one on order that should be here someday. This is the other thread I was talking about.

I noticed the exact same thing! They don’t fit at all. I spent 5 minutes on it and said F it and installed a gear shade instead.

I installed mine a couple weeks ago and haven't had a problem. I put it on, drove it, tighten up what need to be and it's been good to go.

Did your front clips look like those in the pics? If so how did you fit them? If not, what do yours look like?

They seem to look like mine. The hook in the pic I got out somewhat easy, the other was pretty tight.

Have to ask... custom made meaning a design / print on it or a complete custom made top?

I had one made from scratch for my '87 bronco back in the day. Checked one shop n they said come back in November, too busy.

I drilled them out a little with a drill bit they seem to just be a little missed shape had the same problem with the washers that are in the front straps that bolt on had to drill those out a little to get the bolt through other than that I’m pretty happy with it for the money.

Has anybody cut the clips off? Mine won’t stay in either. Seems tight enough up front while they’re hanging down that I don’t think I need them.

That’s what I under up doing and got 1 inch black steel hooks to replace them
