Yeah I'm pretty sure they were added because of the extra brace on the Raptors.

That's when Job 2 started. Mine was built that week and has one side with holes and one side without.

2drs have the hole in a different location

This is great use of limited space in our 2 doors. I'm looking to remove the speaker pods as well and figure out a different speaker solution. There are two additional holes on top of the roll bar on each side for the two door. Looks like they are a flat profile and not on a curve.
Could be a great place to move some smaller pod speakers to the corners in front of the roll bar and open up the additional holes taken up by the speakers for other accessories.
