@Ford Motor Company I know you are only here to congratulate people on their new Bronco and tell them how sweet their ride looks but these ADM's are getting out of hand and you need to man the fuck up already and do something.
Ford did do something…..they stopped the dealer shenanigans by lowering the name match threshold from 80% to 60% and then made it nearly impossible for reservation holders to move their reservation/order to another dealership in order to get a better deal. They created this environment…..why would we expect @Ford Motor Company to help when they’re the pimps for these whores?

absolutely disgusting. literally makes me want to walk in that dealership, take a dump on the pretty receptionist's desk, and wait to be physically removed.
Make sure you eat plenty of Taco Bell and hot sauce the night before.

in all seriousness, we are running into the perfect storm here. A highly sought after vehicle with limited availability at a time when the car market is commanding ridiculous prices. It is showing dealerships true colors and they are hideous. I also find it odd the dealer had “no clue” it was your Bronco order. I rode my dealers ASS through the whole process, all the way up to delivery. At time of order, I went in to the dealer and physically signed the DORA, spoke with the sales manager and agreed to a $1,000 deposit(some will whine about this). Kept an open line of comms with the GM and my sales rep, throughout. Some dealers are scum, and that was a big reason why I did what I did. Ford needs to contact this dealer and demand they honor YOUR Bronco’s original price. Some First Edition reservations already got screwed by not getting a build date before year end, now this? Ford better step up.

I’m still trying to let the anger dissipate. Went to go pickup my FE order that got delivered to the dealership yesterday. Found out they wanted $118K for it ($56K markup).

I blew a gasket having waited a year and a half with a year of delays.

Superior Ford in Plymouth, MN. Their excuse - “well you didn’t sign anything and that’s what the market price is”. I was forced to walk out with no Bronco. I feel totally taken advantage of and that they just used my reservation/order so they could get one for their lot and sell at a huge markup with no intention of honoring my reservation. When I showed up it was like they weren’t even aware it was my Bronco I had reserved.

Had I known how shady the dealership was, I would have gone done the street and had it transferred to Morries Ford who would have sold at MSRP.
I wonder if $56,000 is enough to make it worth filing a full-blown lawsuit against this dealer over it. Usually, these markups are big enough to put it out of small-claims-court range, but too small to be worth the cost and hassle of full litigation. But usually, these markups are not nearly as high as this one.

Honestly I would love it if Ford went fucking nuclear on these slime balls and started selling factory direct in the states where it’s already legal. At the very least make them agree to sell at MSRP or be ineligible to participate in the online reservation system. I’m sure so many people are going to get screwed on their MachE and Lightning orders too.

I know Ohio is factory direct; it’s where anyone from SE MI goes to pick up their Teslas.

To see the look of abject horror on the GM’s face when he can’t tack on $80 Nitrogen tire fills, $300 VIN etching and their shitty kick-back giving 8% interest rate lender would give me much schadenfreude.

Or at the very least an injunction on selling it while everything gets sorted out. Be sure to slow walk it after that, let them sweat the floor financing on a $60k vehicle for a couple months.

In the end walk and get a Braptor anyway from a better dealer. Honestly an FE is just a sticker package from how I see it.

Ford does not care.
FORD. DOES. NOT. CARE.

this has been made glaringly apparent by their behavior, communication, broken promises, etc over the last year and a half.

This sucks hard for the OP and everyone else this has happened to.. so sorry

Paying thousands of extra dollars is not what I would call a win.

Besides, what responsible person wants to go 120% on the loan for a depreciating asset? I know some will advocate to take the max loan at a low interest and invest the down payment. Not speaking of anyone here specifically, but the unfortunate reality in our society is that so many take the max loan because they don’t have two nickels to rub together for down payment.

My Badlands with Lux is under $50k. This is like paying for 2 Broncos. That's F'd up. Leaving review now.

If it were me I might consider the following:

Every major metro/newspaper (star tribune) has a consumer protection watch dog reporter/columnist. Contact them and they will expose this in a way the dealer will regret.

Contact the consumer protection dept within the Minn AG office. Explain the “alleged” marketing practice. They likely could not enforce but trust me a call from the attorney general’s office just inquiring is not something you want.
