Can we hold off on any more negative Google reviews? Mike Levine responded to my Tweet so I’m in contact and he believes the negative reviews will just make the problem worse at the moment. Thank you! Maybe there’s hope??

Levine is just trying to cover the dealers ass.
The negative reviews are true and he knows it, and it has worked in most every other case.
But it's your deal, and I hope you get your FE for MSRP!

Best of luck!

I’m still trying to let the anger dissipate. Went to go pickup my FE order that got delivered to the dealership yesterday. Found out they wanted $118K for it ($56K markup).

I blew a gasket having waited a year and a half with a year of delays.

Superior Ford in Plymouth, MN. Their excuse - “well you didn’t sign anything and that’s what the market price is”. I was forced to walk out with no Bronco. I feel totally taken advantage of and that they just used my reservation/order so they could get one for their lot and sell at a huge markup with no intention of honoring my reservation. When I showed up it was like they weren’t even aware it was my Bronco I had reserved.

Had I known how shady the dealership was, I would have gone done the street and had it transferred to Morries Ford who would have sold at MSRP.
No….don’t worry!!! $118,000 is perfectly normal for a 2022 Corvette Z06. Naturally Aspriraded 650 Horse Power. Yep, $118K perfectly normal.

oh……you said Bronco. Ok….that’s a fucking rip off!!

Let us know if/when this gets resolved. I might update my review with the new information.

From Ford's official Bronco Order Holder FAQ.
What can I do if I can’t agree to a selling price with my dealer?
Dealers are independent franchises. The final price a customer will pay for any vehicle is agreed between themselves and a dealer that’s at, below, or above MSRP. We recommend that all customers agree to a selling price with their dealer when an order is placed via a signed purchase agreement.
@Ford Motor Company, the problem is, no one in the right mind is going to place an order with a dealer that would state ADM upfront. If my dealer would even mention word "markup" at the time of converting my reservation to order I'd walk out right away and head to another franchise.

The stealers only mention markup when its too late to drop them. Its not like we "can't agree" on the price - the stealers "changing" it after the order is placed. I hope you not suggesting your customers need a lawyer to place a friggin reservation.

The more this happens, the less enthusiastic I am about doing business with Ford. At this point, too far down the path to abandon the reservation. But part of me kinda hopes our dealer pulls a similar bait-and-switch so I can walk away on principle and have a(nother) concrete reason to never again consider a new Ford product.

I wonder if it's because they know that no lender is going to finance that vehicle for nearly twice MSRP, so they're hoping for a buyer with a valuable enough trade-in to take the financed amount to something than a lender might allow.
My first thought too.

And who is this Mike Levine guy? I’m still pretty new here, but I’ve seen his name mentioned at least a dozen times across several threads. I can’t tell if he’s some sort of Bronco consumer advocate or a Ford ambassador. Either way, from comments I’ve read, it sounds like he sucks at his job whatever it may be.

The response from ford should be, “We can’t tell you what to charge but we can damn well make sure you don’t get any more, your choice”. That would eliminate some of this nonsense by unsavory dealers.

It might be worse than you think; he is head communications guy at Ford, but he apparently spends half his day blocking people asking about stuff about ADM, allocations, and the like. Another 40% of his day ignoring those he does not block, leaving time for a nice lunch and a short nap break. (or so it might seem from his communications)

I would not count on any real help from Ford. They always go back to the dealer has the ability to set the price, probably legally correct, although I would not be shocked if several of the States don't have such poorly written laws on identity theft that it might actually be a crime to use their identity to receive a product and then sell it to the highest bidder. Not that any one would ever be prosecuted for such a thing. I digress...

Since day one when reservations were first come, first served, until today when dealers mark up reserved FE's by 90% or thereabouts, Ford has continuously changed the rules to benefit dealers ability to mark up the products and steer the Bronco's produced to the dealers Ford likes best instead of the promise of the final consumer making that choice.

In 550ish days, they have gone from totally consumer based, high PR value claims of a new way of doing business, to locking us into a dealer (no transfers of orders), reducing the penalties until they are worthless on dealers selling reserve orders to the highest bidder (fomenting the ADM crisis by design, nobody at Ford is stupid enough not to have foreseen the very obvious and logical outcome of the program changes)

What do you think Ford will do over the next 550 days? (about the time my Grange-tober order comes up) The deal will continue to get worse until they push all the reservation holders out because we are of no more use to them (a negative, a liability now) after they touted their big reservation numbers in 2020. They will not help the OP or anyone else that is not a big dealer.

They ignore their ethical responsibilities to keep their word on the reservation production order (hide behind the legalese fine print)

Believing they will do the right thing, the ethical thing, is just foolish, they have proven they are not an ethical company when they broke their word originally (and Ford keeps moving further down the path away from that promise every day)

I feel for the OP, double-kick in the glad bag right there, I just see Ford and the dealer laughing at the idiots (behind their back) who believed Ford would act ethically (AKA as expressly written in the original terms) instead of feeding their favorite dealers all the Bronco's they can make while those dealers sell them to the highest bidder. Why do the right thing when you can make more profit on one ADM sale then on 20 sales at MSRP (and Ford will give you more after that!).

And if your are listening Ford, I did file a dealer complaint through corporate. I don’t have high hopes that the dealer won’t have sold the vehicle out from under me within a day or two, but it would be nice to have some follow through action on this!
No one is going to pay 100K here in MN for a bronco.

Yes that’s mine. Am I reading that right that they won’t let someone buy a new car without having a trade-in?? I wonder if Ford would be happy with that. They had a Badlands on the showroom floor with a green sticker and a $25K markup. I can only guess they screwed that guy too.
They probably need the trade to drop the amount of financed.

The dealers are living on a different planet. There is a Lightning Blue 4 door at Spirit Ford in Dundee, MI with a 40k markup on it. But the market seems to be about 85-90 for FEs right now. Two just sold on BaT in the last couple weeks for 85/86, plus fees would be about 90 for the buyer.
