I chatted with someone at ford online for 30+ minutes the other day. Bouncing around with the settings and there are not many settings. It still did not work. Yesterday - I remote started and both seats were heated after getting in the car - maybe after it had been running for 10 minutes. Seems inconsistent to me. The only option I have for the seats are Auto and Off. I have no other options. Kinda hard to mess that up.

Correct your setting! Read the manual....
https://www.fordservicecontent.com/...ingEnabled=False&userMarket=USA&buildtype=web

Heated Seat Settings
  1. Press Seats.
  1. Press Auto or Off.
Note: If you switch the heated seat settings on, the heated seats turn on during cold weather.
Note: You cannot adjust the heated seat settings when you remotely start your vehicle.
Why should I shut them off when I need them when its actually cold out? That is stupid they shouldn't kick on unless its under 50-60 degrees out

Write the algarythm and send it to Ford to install in all future models
I had heated seats in my 2013 Taurus SHO and it never kicked on at such a high temp

Still have the issue, but I've noticed that first start in the morning, its at max heat, but when I leave later in the day and use the remote start from the app it stays at 1 light.

Its not a huge deal when its cold out, but annoying when its warm and 65 out and don't need it!
Good morning, Scott! I would be glad to help you out with these heated seat concerns if you are still in need of assistance. Just shoot us a PM with your VIN and dealer name/location, and I'll get right on it. To send a private message, just click on our username and select "Start Conversation". Thank you!

I think my issue is different. When I hit remote start (either the app or FOB) the car starts, but the screen inside does not light up, so there is no radio, no regular heat, no heated seats etc. Once I hit the ignition button, everything turns on.

I’m taking it to the dealer next Friday.

I am quite interested in what they find - please post the findings. Thanks

That’s normal and the way it’s supposed to work during remote starts.
To get the climate control to work during remote start it needs to be turned on in the settings.

Have noticed this also with the freezing temps right now in Austin. Auto start really helps. I also noticed the bronco is doing its own thing when it comes to heating with auto start. Im not upset about it tho. I run really warm. 70 is slightly cool for me. For others this is the surface of the sun. Regardless, the bronco will be at different heat settings for the auto start. Wasnt sure why hut reading this has helped understand. Would prefer a customized page to set that to. Both the ac temp and seat temps. Probably was more coding then ford wanted to deal with at the time.

It will be interesting to see how this shakes out.
Mine "quit" working at some point which I discovered the first cold morning I wanted to use them back in maybe October.
Then randomly they will work to varying degrees of intensity.
Feels like a loose wire making sporadic connection but I have yet to unbolt the seat and look.
I'm not going to waste my time trying to schedule an appointment at a dealer 4 months out for them to look at me like I'm crazy anymore. Or tell me they can't look at my vehicle because it's "not stock any longer".
I'd bet they could now that the warranty is up and it's on my dime though. Haven't tried it since then...
Hey I'm a Ford technician. If you DM me your VIN I can look it up and see if you have connected data posting to the OASIS site and see if there's any codes or TSBs that may help

Not even the regular heat in the car would be on to defrost the windows? I’m getting into a freezing car instead of a warm one. Not sure that’s accurate. All of these things were working before. I didn’t change any settings (and checked they are currently not altered).

If it’s set to auto, the heat should come on. I don’t know what your settings currently are. But either way, the screen and radio shouldn’t come on during remote start.

Got it. Maybe it was my other car that the radio comes on. Either way, Bronco is set to auto for the climate control and it’s not coming on during remote start. Will see why dealer says next Friday.
