Well, here I am, all these days since I successfully reserved my Bronco at a little after 1 am on July 15, 2020.
I rabidly followed this forum, and any other source of info I could find. Placed my first order. Watched and waited. Time passed.
Accepted a 2021 wasn't in the books. Reordered as a 2022. Watched and waited.
On the second year/730 day anniversary, I decided "Why not?" and placed a factory order for a 2023 Jeep Wrangler Rubicon. Let them race! Ford has a two year head start...let's see what happens!
I fully expected the Wrangler to start its production process, but to have the proceedings interrupted once the Bronco actually got a VIN. I even had a precomposed email in my mind, apologizing to the Jeep dealer I may have led on in my frivolous attempt to alleviate the boredom of waiting for a Bronco to be scheduled.
Silly me...Jeep delivered...literally. My awesome Jeep spec was on the ground, waiting for me, less than two months after I placed my factory order. Oh no...what do I do? Did some back of the napkin math, and saw that Carvana would give me $2k more than I paid four years ago for my daily driver GTI, rendering it a basically free car. And my Jeep deal was 6% under invoice, while much of the nation has them at MSRP, so maybe I can take delivery and flip it once my 2021, no...2022, no...2023(??) Bronco hits the dealer.
I had heard that the Bronco scheme was selling a ton of Jeeps, but didn't really get it...until I got mine (Jeep).
So now the plan is to reorder the Bronco as a 2023. Wait. Wait. Wait. And when it arrives, sell the Jeep, which at that point will be 3...or 6...or 9...or 12 months old.
I just wonder if the Bronco will live up to the competition of the Jeep?
If so, no problem....flip that Bronco and order another Jeep.
But with all this thought process and time involved, I REALLY hope the Bronco blows me away, and I decide to hold on to it.
