Need more video's and pictures of the rear seats folded down and to see how flat the areas is in the 4 door.
We have dogs, don't need seats but we do need a flat area. It appears will need the tail gate to make it somewhat level. The 2nd seat brackets needed to hinge and allow the seat to lay flat simuliar to the Land Rover Defender" that are Perfectly flat.
Just can't buy, if not American. The Land Rovers are too much money and too much maintenance. I know Ford can make the same changes.
What if a person wants to sleep or load the back area,?
One main problem, NO REAR AC??? Arizona gets 120 degrees, HELP under the seat will not work!!!

Buy I know Ford can make the same changes to make the back flat. What if a person wants to sleep inside the back area?

It's not perfectly flat, just guessing it's about a 5-10 deg angle from the flat cargo area in the rear. And there's also a gap in between the seats where a paw/leg could get stuck. Best bet get a harness w/dog "seatbelt" and let them ride in the back seat.

Besides the angle and gap you have the child seat anchor spots which are recessed with a metal bar across them just asking to get doggo toes stuck in them. Is that worst case scenario, absolutely but I don't take chances with my best bud.

Ford will most likely not address this. I am sure the aftermarket community will have a fix for this.

The rear seats aren't totally flat, they have a slight angle. The angle is so small I'd call it flat. The bigger concern is that there is a couple inch height difference between the rear seat and the cargo area.

I was hoping they would have the option that the sport has that seems to level everything out when the seats are flat, but I guess not

Image from a recent post. Will require the rear tailgate or some other addition in order to get to a flat or nearly flat rear area. Doesn’t look like the seat section is perfectly flat either even if you raise the rear section to the same level.
