Re-order question

Late res but I ordered last January thru a large dealer. I tried to be proactive and went to reorder for 22MY on October 14th. I had no modifications. Just asked to replace my order as per Ford's email when they stated I would not receive a 21MY. Dealer said their system would not allow them to switch to a 22MY and that maybe that meant I would still get get built for a 21. I told them I received and email already stating I would not and I would have to reorder when the time came. That confused them. But they told me not to worry. It would all get worked out over the next few weeks. Has this happened to anyone else? Did I do something wrong? I did not want to modify my order. WT with Lux and that's it. Nothing else.

My dealer called me to today to inform me that it was time to update my order for MY22. Went there after work and placed my new order. I ordered the Same build just added the carrier bags for the top panels and doors. He told me I was price protected and I signed a paper. Whole process took 10 minutes. Now we wait.......

Ok what Ford said they were going to do (DRINK!) is convert all outstanding MY21 to MY22 automatically, and at the same time change every order to Code 99.

So what you are supposed to do is tell your dealer of any changes you want, and then have the dealer change the code back to 10-19. That let's Ford know it's been reviewed.

This is as confusing for the dealers as everyone else. So the only think you need to worry about is that your order might now be Code 99, so call the dealer back and have them make sure it's 10-19.

Be careful. Mine on the Ford Page populated to 2022....but IMO, it was a web change. I also (later today) went to my Dealer and did my re-order with a minor change. It will take 2 days or so to get an email and DORA order form from the Dealer. You MUST get a DORA sheet from your Dealer confirming your 2022 was in fact submitted and that they took it off "99" hold.

Sorry this will be a little long but I am just explaining step by step what me and the dealer did to get to an actual Order submitted for MY22 to be built (once they start building later this year)

So how I got to this point was Ford Corporate converted my 99 order from a 21 to a 22 last week. I believe they began doing that around the 11th. The dealership themselves don't handle the conversion. Once that was complete, I redid my build based on the 2022 model and told the dealer exactly what I wanted which really all I did was change the color, switch from a MIC hard top to soft top (I'll order that through the parts department and wait. Dealer said adding the MIC top could push out the delivery date by up to 12 months. Ford doesnt really have an answer for that yet.), and re-add the heavy duty bumper since the 2MY2 changed that to the other bumper. After the dealer redid the order form he had me confirm it was correct. Once I confirmed the accuracy and told him to submit, they sent is off to Ford.

I got an email from Ford shortly after. Essentially the body of the email will read this (or something similar to):

Your vehicle order is one of the early orders for the 2022 Bronco Badlands™, and because we are building this vehicle just for you, we wanted to share a bit more on our production process as it may impact your delivery time. As part of the quality assurance process at Ford Motor Company, customer orders are only built when all quality checks have been met. This process may lead to a longer wait time for your vehicle to be built, but is designed to help ensure your satisfaction. Throughout the production process, we will keep you updated on the status of your order. You will receive email notifications when your vehicle is:

• Scheduled for Production – all necessary parts are secured, and your order has been placed in the production schedule.
• Built – your vehicle has been built, and we will let you know of the estimated arrival date at your dealership.
• Shipped – your vehicle has been shipped, is on its way to your dealership, and we’ll include the latest estimated arrival date.

So now it is just being patient and waiting until they start building and hope that it gets built in 90 days. Best case scenario? I am guessing April I will get my car... but I wouldn't be surprised if it is June 2022.
