Retail Order Price Protection Question

My Bronco arrived at my dealer today. I wanted to verify the info they gave me. I was a non-reservation retail order placed on 12/22/21. The order qualifies for Ford retail order price protection (MSRP at time vehicle was ordered, not affected by mid-22 MY increase).

The purchase order provided by the dealer shows new MSRP. I asked about it and they say the ROPP is a rebate given to me by Ford after the fact. I don’t trust what even good dealers say, so I want to verify that.

Just picked up mine on Monday..... I handed salesman a copy of the preview order he gave me when I ordered in December 2021, dealer went into smart vincent and honored the agreed upon MSRP for when I placed the order. It was about an $1800 difference?
So, i saved that extra bit in sales tax also!
