I recently installed RCI trans, xfer case, and crossmember skids and have a question re: the xfer case skid.

It came with what I suppose is a support brace for the pass side - the instructions that I downloaded did not mention this piece and I am not sure where it goes. It looks like it bolts to the skid on one end and one of the gas tank mounting bolts on the other. Can anyone confirm how to use this bracket? One other curious thing is the length of the carriage bolts provided. If the bracket does bolt to the xfer case skid, those carriage bolts are way longer than they need to be.

ETA: I called RCI and left a message a couple of days ago - no call back and at least one other failed attempt to get someone on the phone. This is not a knock on them just added for the inevitable "why don't you call them" response...

I called RCI about a shipping issue the other day, three calls and three answers. I think I used 4 in the call tree. They also said to email sales@ whatever, so you might also try the sales one.

It is Thanksgiving week I guess.

I believe when I did the install they only had the 4-door instructions linked from the product page. Had to search for the 2-door instructions.

I ended up ordering carriage bolts from McMaster-Carr. It's ridiculous that RCI can't source the correct hardware.
