Raptor Headlights on a BD?

Hi Everyone!

I’m the proud new owner of a 2024 Black Diamond! One of the many upgrades I’m considering right now are new headlights. I’ve got the base non-signature ones currently.

The aftermarket ones are cool, but I’ve got my eye on a set of OEM Raptor headlights on eBay right now…. Solid deal so I’d love to jump on it. Has anyone swapped out the basic LED headlights for the OEM raptor signature headlights successfully? I’ve seen some posts on successful swaps with the normal, non-raptor, signature LED’s, but not sure if anyone has tried swapping them with Raptors? Any advice is appreciated!

Yes you can swap for Raptor headlights but you’ll need a conversion harness since the wiring is different, especially for the amber DRLs and turn signals.

Make sure the headlights are with the circuit boards, otherwise you will need to buy boards and program them yourself. I went to Alpharex to avoid the mess, and I’m enjoying them every minute now.

Any chance you could send a link for one of these harnesses? I see a ton on google but they kind of look like they’re more for accessory lighting… or maybe I’m just not looking hard enough?

I’ve thought about the Alpharex but good lord are they pricey! You think they’re worth it?

Yes, they are expensive but worth every penny. I have Oracle Lighting amber fog lights as well. The foreground light had an amber hint before the swap but I no longer see any amber now. The Alpharex lights are much brighter.
