Raised Seam on Bronco Softop, When?

When did the Bronco Softop start coming with the 2 raised ribs sewn in running front to back?
I may be behind the curve here but never noticed it before.

I've never noticed that either - Mine doesn't have that, but it's a 2021. Seems like a simple, yet good way to deflect water from pouring onto my lap when I open the door.

My first reaction is it should help and what could it hurt.

I recall seeing a comment regarding that at least a few months back, maybe all the way back to when the first 23's were roling out.
The guess then was the same as now, rain gutter.

At the time I didn't pay it much attention because I have a 2dr MIC and the ordered Bronco was MIC also.
Now, I have dropped the MIC, so this has suddenly gained more importance. LOL

Same here, did not pay that much attention until Ford made it worthwhile. And now there is a minor glitch in the "worthwhile" .
I'm picking it up this week if nothing goes wrong, so there is that.
