I’ve got a crazy situation where the stereo WILL NOT turn off. I turn off the car and everything shuts down like normal, except the sync system on the big screen.

I have the top and doors off and got caught in a rain storm yesterday - could it be related to this? Normally when the doors are off, the second I turn off the car the stereo system shuts down. I can turn the volume off so the music quits playing but the system just stays on…

I’d love any ideas.

Probably got water in the ACM or one of the other modules/on-off switches. How wet and either put a fan on the the interior for a couple of days, better if you can seal it up and throw a dehumidifier inside for a few. It may dry out and work normally but if not, get an appointment scheduled with your dealer.

ETA: In the meantime, I'd pull fuse F32 in the Body control module (left of steering column under the dash) and kill the power to it so you don't start getting other problems like battery drain.

Thank you. Oddly enough, when I got home it shut off as you'd expect, unlike it did during the 4-5 other drives today. I'll continue to monitor it.

It didn't get THAT wet. I have a soft top, so I threw the top on but I had the doors and rear windows off so quite a bit of water still got it.

F32 shut off the audio and didn’t shut off the sync system. I found this other thread, pulled that fuse and it seems to be working as intended?

I’ll continue to keep an eye on it.

Yeah, I can send it to you. Pulling the fuse for the sync system seemed to fix the problem.

I'm assuming you pulled fuse and replaced it and that fixed the problem. If you just pulled it then that's not fixing the problem.

Yeah, sorry if that wasn't clear. I pulled the fuse for about 5 seconds, put it back and all is well since then.
