Does this color really exist? I see lots of the same colors over and over - including the other R Red (Receeding Red? Retarded Red? Ready Red?). All we have are cgi images, repaints, and similar to's... I want to see at least one real version.

It is likely my budget color.

Agreed. Rapid red, an option color that will cost extra, gets all the face time ?

Colorblindus-20 strikes again! Curse you plague!

Or maybe its computer screens? Or bad phone screens?

The Badlands above is clearly Race Red.

The Outer Banks soft top is clearly Rapid Red.

if you're correct, when I get my Bronco, I'll avoid driving around in factory lighting:

As others have pointed out, factory lighting is brighter, bluer, and a mix of lights so it’s kind of not at all similar to what the vehicle looks like outside.

That said, it won’t look right in a picture or on a screen either so it’s kind of a mess when deciding on colors. I’m thinking Ford is aware of this and will try to pepper enough dealers with different colored mannequins by Dec that we’ll be able to see our color choices in person before ordering.

Agreed. But Ford is trying to sell stuff here. They could at least take a little care to more accurately present their product. Of course, Race & Rapid Reds, Velocity Blue, and a few of the other greyscales are in dealer lots now.

I actually don't hate the orangey-red of the top picture which looks like neither the race red shell or the retro/really/razzle-dazzle red it is being called.

Hopefully they take the above shell and throw all the parts on it so I can imagine (and save to my desktop) an image of what it MIGHT look like.

Saw a Race Red F150 yesterday, looked gorgeous.

My wife started leaning towards Black. I'm trying to dissuade her -- black hides all the body lines that make it a Bronco -- from 50ft away it'd just look like a Jeep.

Really, black is too glossy for this car. A black Bronco in the 60s would be single-stage paint, no clearcoat. High gloss defies the retro aspect
