Getting stuck is half the fun. Not wheeling hard enough if the straps/winch never get used. The parts of our trips that everyone remembers and talks about are the difficulties. Driver was just looking for adventure!

My old man was a legendary conversationist. He could take a chance encounter at the grocery store and turn into a three hour back-and-forth with a friend or coworker, telling stories, jokes, "oh you know about so-and-so". Many an evening I spent wandering around a Randall's looking for something to do as they chatted away.
