Just about all done with dash mods
It was fun project using great Kydex plastics used fir gun holsters , very easy to cut or mold to shape
I actually use it on my kayak kill guard works superb
Here what I did since I will be Triamping 3 Way front stage I needed to make plates to accommodate both , 1” tweeter and 3” midrange
I will be using very nice sounding Rainbows midrange Germanium GL M3 80 watts and Audison Voce 1.1 Teeter 180 W
So instead fabricating entire plate i left original plate sandwiched between 2 Kydex sheets and just drilled speakers holes using dremel and small steel bit
I used 3M double tape to mount all together
No just final fit in to dash hole i will need to remove very little plastic there and plate will fit in very same clips holes
Next kick plates ,
Boy , Bronco totally butchered that place if you study closely there is hole cover with felt right under steel speaker mount
If you just mount your midbase there you loose important sound quality with very poor speaker response
You want to close that hole and creat good tight speaker ring before mounting good woofer there !
takes time but when is done it will be well worth it effort
Sty tuned for that
