Production Highlights With Order

I talked to my dealer today and thankful I made it in their initial allocation at #2. Ford communicated the following to dealers.
Options which could lead to extended wait times:
2.7L Engine Lux Package
Sasquatch Leather Options
Wildtrack Hard Top
2 Dr
"Buildable at freed demand" are Big Bend, 4 door, 2.3L, Soft Top. I am still ordering my 2Dr hard top with 2.7L regardless of delay.

I do wonder what the 2dr delay is. They obviously can make them now, but how limited in parts are they? Enough parts to make 1,000 or 10,000 or ???

My dealer told me squatch will cause delays since it's high demand. Fine with me. I didn't actually make my reservation until last night, so I wasn't expecting a 21 MY anyway.

Same message from my dealer. Still ordering a 2.7 lux leather sasquatch (albeit 4 dr). Day 1 reservation, so hopefully they still have parts at that time.

I am wondering if it tied more the the frame than the body. Since they are using a new type of steel they are working closely with the steel vendor. They may be more limited on the production runs.

Could be a lot of things I guess. Might be a limited number of 2dr hardtops or anything else not manufactured by Ford that is specific to the 2 DR. I'm hoping they have enough parts to make the first couple days worth of reservations.

Yeah, you could be right. The 2D can only be equipped with a hard top (MIC or Mod HT) and the 4D can be ordered with soft top, MIC or the Mod HT.
