Procal dealer quote

Hi all,
I hope this isn’t too redundant. I have a 23 heritage Limited with about 20,000 miles and my points are expiring so I thought I would look at getting the pro tuner from the dealer. He quoted 850 for the tuner and another 229 for labor. The sales tax it’s nearly $1200 was I wrong thinking this was going to be 850?

I really don’t know what else to spend those points on, but even with the discount from points price is pretty high.

I’m curious to know what others have paid for a Procal from Ford and what the other options may be

I bought mine for about $700 from Lethal Performance on sale (can't use Ford Points that way though).

Should be able to get a 20% discount on the hardware, plus use Ford Points right now though Ford - that won't help on the install costs, but should bring that hardware cost down from MSRP. This code works until Friday, and can have them ship to dealer for the install.

Wow, this is really great. I don’t know why I couldn’t find that on the accessories list when I was shopping for it. I couldn’t even find the tuner though so there’s that.

I have a follow up question. The link above brought me to a page offering a pro Cal voucher only. After poking around a little more, I found the actual tuner is separate item and priced consistently with the dealer. I can get the discounts and apply the points no problem. What is the voucher? Do I also need a voucher?

I bought mine from Lethal Performance 2 years ago for $599.99. Installed the tune myself and haven't had any issues whatsoever. It was one of the best mods done to the Bronco.

You'll want to purchase the part number m-9603-b27 which is the device with the calibration. They also offer the device by itself as well as the calibration voucher by itself for those who may have purchase a used device or device only in the past but want a new calibration for their current vehicle.

Great advice here! And also, if you use Ford pass points the sales tax is calculated only on the price AFTER applying the points. I bought my slide out tailgate and wound up saving even more because I used the points. Sales tax in Cali is dang near 11% where I’m at

Bought mine from Lethal and found a Ford Performance shop to install it for $130!

Points don’t expire if you continue to use them or add to them (ie use your ford pass account). If you’re using the dealer for oil changes that would keep your points from expiring!

I got on Ford's website, added the tuner and installation then the coupon and it gave me a total of $852 tax title license and installation.

I bought mine from a forum member $500 and installed it myself. I was unimpressed with the power change. At $500 I’m disappointed. At $1200 I’d really be disappointed
