Price lock on new orders?

I would think your price would be locked in at the price you get when you order. If I order today and it’s $56k, that should be honored even if they don’t deliver until 2023 (knowing that the 2022 prices will rise compared to 2021). I’m not talking about initial reservations- that’s a different scenario. They’re going to lose a lot of customers if they raise the prices after your order is set and deposits paid.

Here's the problem with that...all 2021 ORDERS will get flushed and will have to be replaced as 2022 ORDERS. So those prices won't just automatically carry over. All these people, including myself, that ordered based off of a price (aka invoice) I'm going to find ourselves in a situation when the 2022 price goes up.

Simply put, if your deal is based on invoice, dealers can still honor that even if the price goes up... But now you're paying more.

Yes - I was also told that orders after March 2021 would not be locked into 2021 prices and you would have to pay higher prices when they go up. That is the only reason I have not ordered one already as I figure I should see if they offer any future tops, etc with the 2022 bank when it open in October.
