It's pretty easy to do yourself and you don't need a laptop, you can use your desktop computer. You just need a computer to set up your account, install the software, upload your stock tune and download the FPP tune. The Procal unit itself is what gets connected to the truck to do the install.

Thanks yall. I’m somewhat leaning towards doing it myself. Hell $400, I can buy a battery tender, and few extra tools at harbor freight

There is nothing I could find in the instructions about having the dealer or an ASE certified mechanic do it. Further, the instructions are written to me ("you", "your") as the owner of the vehicle.

They also make mention that "IF a dealer...." installed, meaning that they recognize that they won't always install.

To me, the language of the instructions means dealer / ASE mechanic installation is not required and if owner installation would void the warranty, it should be in the instructions or on the paperwork that ships with the device. It isn't.

Do it yourself, it took me about 20 minutes.
