I'm hoping for the best of both worlds. I want rock rail and a separate power step. Similar to the Jay Leno rebuild. It's possible, but it might need to be custom.

Keep us posted, please. I have been interested in these too (when I was shopping JLs), but they were late to make 2-door versions (JL reference) vs making the 4-door first to market. I hope they do not take a long time to offer a Bronco 2-door option.

Door delete option is a must for the Bronco. I’m likely going to wire mine through the uppfitter switch to override the steps on the trail. Don’t want them coming down onto an obstacle mid-body.

Got my fingers crossed for the step/slider. Otherwise I'll need to get the smaller tire rig.

The biggest issue with the AMP steps is dirt. Any mud or moderately heavy road grime and they will stop working. Sometimes the lock in the up position and sometime when down. Snow and slush are also an issue.

Keep them cleaned and lubricated yearly will give you few to no problems...

I have the Ford power steps on my Platinum taken care of and no issues...

BTW the Ford power steps are more prone to problems than amp research boards...

Ford uses Amp Research. At least the 16 Expedition I had did. There was a sticker on the drivers side front bracket.

I surely hope that they keep it up, the Amp Research boards have replaceable motors and the Ford ones on my Platinum F-150 do not, so I just do yearly maintenance...

I did a little more checking on this and saw on the F-150 forum that a company named Mytox now makes Fords power steps boards. Funny thing is they have to pay royalties to Amp Research because they are using their design. Even so, parts don't interchange between the 2. I don't know how mine were Amp Research on a 16 Expedition when the person that posted had an 11 F-150 Limited? He had complained about problems, but they always worked when at the dealer, so they wouldn't do anything. One finally died a month after the warranty expired and the dealer replaced them due to the customer complaining while still in warranty. They said Ford charges almost $3k for them, but most people replace with real Amp Research that can be bought as low as $1200, plus you will be able to get replacement parts.

The step on Jays are from AMP base on the build sheet that I saw. Probably custom. Wheels are custom from Detroit steel wheels. I thought about building a copy cat in Anti Matter Blue.

I figured it was custom based on the retracted position. Similar to what I'd like.
