Power Running Boards installed on Heritage LE

My wife loves her HLE but even with the factory side steps she complains that it’s too high and difficult to get in. Fast forward to my “Happy Wife, Happy Life” mantra and viola, power steps for her driving pleasure…

These are the Rough Country Power Running Boards and they even come with LED lights that activate when they deploy. The steps retract about 4 inches lower than the factory running boards so this should allow for easier entry.

Installation was fairly easy but of course anything that requires wiring always deserves special attention so this was a 3 hour project. They seem well made and fit & finish is great - I hope she likes them…

Are these Rock crawl capable, or just for stepping in and out?

RC states that they can operate as a rock rail but there is no chance I would do any hard core crawling and expect anything more than minimal protection (and lilely some damage).
