Potential new Bronco owners!

Hi all,

Just joined here as we are looking at a new ride for my wife, she test drove a new Bronco today, we will have to order 1 as we want a 2dr Badlands 7MT. Got a quote for one with Lux package, Black appearance package, and towing package in Black. They don't have any MT Bronco's available for test drive here (Ontario, Canada) so she didn't get to test out the manual. I see there is a thread on the manual trans but it just talked about delays. Anyone have any feedback for us?

Wife got to choose the color, 2 door and transmission. Ended up with the automatic. If we hadn't made it into the last week of production of 21s, no idea of what color we would have ended up with...

I just took delivery on a Badland 4-door 7MT. The manual is great! No worries on that account, just like people here told me. I had to order one to get one, though.

I have a 24 2dr Big Bend with a manual. I love the manual. It's very smooth. I've driven the auto at the Off-roadeo, and I liked it quite a bit as well.

Thanks all for the replies, either it's a 2025 MY thing or a Canadian market thing but we cannot get the 4dr with a manual. Only the 2dr BASE or BADLANDS. Personally the 2dr to us just looks better anyway. Glad to hear the feedback on the manual trans, there are only 3 in all of Canada and they are all factory orders for buyers. PSUTE seems like you had the covid buying experience, if we order one from Ford and wait for the build and in the end they cannot deliver the exact one we ordered then we will not buy it.

I absolutely love the 7MT!!! It's an easier to use transmission than my Mustang and has some nice features that I discovered by accident and I don't know if it's by design or not but I was using it to teach my daughter how to drive a stick and we discovered that when she dumped the clutch, if she immediately disengaged the clutch the vehicle would immediately start again on its own. It really made the learning much easier. There are also other times when I drive it when it seems to apply some fuel without my input when low speed hard turning left or right. It's not scary or anything it just seems like the computer can sense what I'm doing and makes adjustments. It's hard to describe but I love this truck!!!

I have a 23 Heritage with the 2.3 and MT. Works great in my opinion. I learned to drive on a 55 Chevy with a 3 on the tree. For the past 50 years most of my vehicles have been manual transmissions. There have been issues with these tranny’s in cold weather developing the Getrag rattle. Mine hasn’t yet but I don’t take it out once the salt goes on the roads.

LMAO just saw this post now!! Update - we took delivery yesterday, drives nice, clutch is probably the lightest one I've ever driven. Just drove it home from the dealership, will be stored in the garage until we can get some paint protection done. We love it so far!
