Portugal Pricing?!?!?

Asked a local Portuguese company for an insurance for my US Model 2024 BB SAS and they sent me a strange msg about the value... Checked out Ford.pt for prices... Now I know why mine is the only one I see on the roads here!!!!

They only list the Outer Banks and Badlands with 2.7L!!!

FYI... 138kEuro is $$158k USD!!!

That is almost twice the price that they are in Spain! Badlands is €78k. Sounds like a roadtrip for anybody in Portugal buying a Bronco!

Yeah, pricing in Europe is a bit crazy when it comes to the Bronco. I wonder what makes Portugal so expensive, most of the European countries have them sitting in the 60-80k Euro range. Here in Germany the Outer Banks is 68k and Badlands 70k.

I also don't understand why there is only a 2k difference between the two models...

For the German pricing, that includes all sales tax and dealer fees. So literally the complete price out the door if one pays MSRP.

I just configured an equivalently equipped Badlands in the US and the MSRP is $62,560. So add in sales tax, dealer fees, and the German pricing actually isn't that bad, considering Ford had to include shipping, homologation, and import fees.

But wow, Portugal pricing...

I purchased my Bronco 2.7L Badlands from a Ford dealer in the Czech Republic in November 2024. He was very willing to negotiate the price, and in the end it was a demo vehicle with around 1000 miles on the odometer. The final price, including all taxes, was CZK 1,550,000—about USD 72,000.

In the end, I have to say it was the best decision of my life when it comes to buying a car. The Bronco brings me joy every single day.

I bought through US Military Auto Source (MAS)..

They shipped but I paid for it in the end. I needed something ASAP so bought off their 'now available in Germany' list. The shipping they charged was at or below commercial... I'd need to dig that up.

TBH I also benefit from importing into a NATO arangement so import taxes and road taxes are negated.

I will be thinking about back to US shipping at some point in my future... Unless I can find someone that wants it for 130kEuro before I leave... (OK maybe around 50kEuro)
