Looking to replace the vinyl hood on the Stroppe with paint and perhaps add ppl/ceramic to my new Bronco. Any recommendations on shops that do both?

Curious. Why not wait until you see wear or aging?

I was under the impression if there was chips and damage then it would be more work later. Also that the wrap just wouldn’t hold up well In general. Granted this is mainly from outlets criticizing the Stroppes in general.

how has yours held up?

Lots of Stroppe haters but most are highly ignorable. ;) I ordered a first year 2003 Jeep TJ Rubicon back in 2002 and there was a slew of “Jeeps are built, not bought” Rubicon haters back then too. I still have my Rubicon TJ and it’s taken me everywhere I’ve wanted it to.

I can’t see chips causing significant damage hindering a normal future repaint but I don’t live in the Salt Belt. If you paint it and get rock chips you will still have the same issues IMO. To answer your question, mine is only a couple of months old, and I’ve never had a vehicle with a wrapped panel before so I’m not sure what to expect longevity-wise. Mine is garaged so I think I’ll just see how things go. You can always paint down the road, and re-wrap is always a possibility too and most likey cheaper. My 1971 Stroppe has a painted hood however.
