Maybe your approach is sensible one but I just didn't know what to do based on the responses I got.

Just annoyed by how this turned out for the dollars spent and basically being told "this is how it is - deal with it, install it and see if it doesn't bother you cuz manufacturer is like that" or I could return but no mention of who's going to bear the extra hassle and costs of returning
Agree, and I completely understand your frustration. The retailer should have made this right.

I know it doesn't make it right, but there's been a well documented issue with the packaging since they started shipping those kits out 6-8 months ago. I touched mine up with some spray on bedliner. Another thing to look for is the pins in the wiring harness. I had one light that would only come on if I jiggled the wire just right, one of the pins in the connector was loose. They sent me a new harness without any trouble. That said, I love these lights, they are very bright and look great.

Yes, Oracle did admit to some packaging issues months ago and then improved their packaging to address the issue. Maybe since you went through Stickerfab you got one of their old sets that was lying around before Oracle improved the packaging.

Read through the 31 pages in this thread and you can see how the packaging issue was supposedly addressed: https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/thre...it-for-mod-bumper-from-oracle-lighting.35095/

Hello!

We have been receiving orders of these whenever they are in stock. We don't actually have any white in stock at the moment as they go fast. I don't think our stock was particularly old.

There is a foam pad that doesn't seem to be in the right place in any of these packages. If that was the fix then maybe it's not truly fixed, and someone is packing them incorrectly. I'm directing my peeps to move that pad.

What I was trying to get across was that we can accept the return, but we cannot replace it with another that will have the same damage.

I can open 9 boxes of yellow and they will have damage in the same area along with the one installed on our vehicle. It's along the top, and unless you're viewing the vehicle from the ground, you shouldn't see it. That's why I personally didn't make a fuss with our set, but I understand everyone has a different purpose for their rig and different expectations.

I hope the manufacturer will chime in as well. We're still going through stuff from Ian and they're likely busy at SEMA for the moment. Please let us know your decision, whether it be a partial refund or something else so we can make it right as we didn't realize you were still seeking additional resolution as we left off.

Credit for other items, etc. Apparently the UPS customs charges were higher because UPS Standard was chosen. At that point UPS charges brokerage fees in addition to duties.

If anyone need to reach me directly, just use [email protected].

Thanks!

It's great that @StickerFab chimed in and responded in an open forum. Too many vendors like to deal with their own mistakes in private, then start calling customers out in public, so it's awesome for them to publicly post what they've done and what the future options are.

Looks like this isn't an issue with the vendor, but an issue with the manufacturer, so perhaps some agreement can be made to help offset the cost of sandblasting and powder coating the brackets again? My biggest concern would be rust and corrosion, especially in Canada.

Maybe, for the future, this will drive buyers to other options, rather than @ORACLE Lighting, knowing that they're going to have to spend another hundred bucks or so to fix the brackets before installation.

Have to say that mine arrived with similar marks and the coating chipping on them as well. What makes it all the more frustrating for you is going through a 3rd party to purchase them, AND being in Canada where extra shipping/taxes are levied.

I am usually super anally retentive about products when I receive them, but against my usual MO, I didn't send them back. What I chose to do, was mask off the lights themselves and the wiring, then coat them with a layer of matte black Krylon. Let them dry, added another layer of Krylon and then installed them. Took about 30 mins to touch them up. This was mainly because the lights really are fantastic (IMHO), and they were on back order, so I knew I wouldn't be getting a replacement set any time soon.

Once installed, you can't see any of the defects, especially now that they have been touched up by me - yes, we shouldn't have to do that, and Oracle do need to look into their QC process.

Good luck getting the resolution that you want out of this, I know it's frustrating, but to save hassle, and not be out extra money/fees etc, if the lights are functioning as they should, then the Krylon approach and a small amount of time may be your best option. Good luck!

Thanks, I will try the Krylon Approach and agree Oracle needs to fix their QC

Hey, no problem. And if it helps, here's the install video I created, if you are hooking them up to AUX switches.

Correct, winter is coming and Ontario roads especially GTA will have salt thrown on them left and right.

Will be trying cupras fix in meantime to stop the rust from happening

Hello! This has been brought to our attention and we have recently updated our packaging within the last month. If not purchased directly from ORACLE, then we cannot guarantee that you received the most updated packaging.

I think its important that we keep in mind that these lights are powder coated. With that being said, any scratching to the top of the lights will not be visible once installed.

As always, please feel free to reach out to us directly with any questions!

Update: StickerFab agreed to assist me with a partial refund.
I'm keeping the lights since both sides are functioning (activated warranty of 2 yrs as well from Oracle) and returning them would be a bigger hassle with no guarantee the next package would be the updated one as Oracle has suggested since new packaging was only updated a month ago (chances it hasn't tricked down to vendors yet).

Will be using Krylon as Cupra suggested to cover the spots.
Top down may not be visible but in my case, some were direct upfront and ofcourse rust issues loomed too.

All in all Thanks to everyone for the swift responses and the support shown!
