Outerbanks Lacking Foglights

When I ordered my 2021 Outbanks the fog lights were included.

Just got my 2022 Outer Banks on 4/2 ,lux ,4 door,mic top,mod front bumper and no fog lights.

I have future auxiliary switches added.

Did Ford remove on 2022? Not shown on my WS.

modular front bumper deletes the fog lights, they are not compatible, so Ford did not remove them, you did, when you ordered the optional bumper.

Exactly. If you wanted fog lights, you should have ordered the Capable Bumper. But places like Oracle, Baja Designs etc have you covered. Simply depends on how much you wish to spend.

If you want/need fog lights, there a number of options available that can be added with no problem using the upfitter switches. There are other B6G threads that go into great detail on this. I added this kit from Baja Designs to my ride and it works great.

@4x4TruckLEDs.com is the best. Diode Dynamics have the best price performance now. I like the ss3 in amber with their install kit. Much better than factory anyway.

The good news is the factory wiring is there so you can technically add back the factory switch and wire in a set with some ForScan programming and minor effort.

And have 10x better lights! I have never had decent fogs stock. Useless all.

Yeah, it is not something folks would generally even consider as a possibility had they not been around during the original uproar over the trims with it standard having no fog lights. While the Ford website does have it pretty clearly stated if you click on the (i) icon by the option on Build and Price either by picking it as an option or when it is forced after picking the bash plates, it is something you have to dig down to see, it is not presented outright to you, so don't beat yourself up too badly, I am sure many people missed it. (as an aside, wait until people start getting soft top Wildtraks because their dealer didn't tell them a hard top was no longer standard and they did not realize it when 2022 re-order time came around again, that is going to be a big deal)

I'll start doing more research on the various threads. I've got a pretty good start on some light options now.

I think I'm capable of doing the installation of lights into the bumper bracket but the wiring is probably above my skill level.

Fogs only come on SOME plastic/capable bumpers. Your truck MAY NOT have them as it's an upgrade.

HD Modular bumpers NEVER come with fogs.
