Hello there. I am new to this forum and am really excited to put in an order for a 2024 Bronco as soon as it is available. Based on what I’ve looked at, I think I want a Sas Badlands w/lux package. I plan to do some overland trips which will require a lot of enhancements to be able to get the most of the limited space available. My big question is, when I order should I leave off a lot of the extras like roof racks and just get those later? What extras SHOULD I make sure to get in the initial order? Any thoughts on this are much appreciated!

Why do we need an “order strategy “ ?

If Ford would just follow the rules they laid out originally we would not need a strategy.

I’ve been waiting over 2 years for my Base with zero options. Get in line OP, yours should be ready by 2029.

Wow. I‘m aware of the long waits, but is it really that bad?

Do not leave off the MIC top $800 option ($5K-8K after-market or used OEM). If you ever need a 7-pin trailer wiring, do not leave that off, it's not plug and play (the 4 pin is). Roof rack will probably be cheaper from the factory. If you opt for the Mod bumper, you lose the Foglight switch. My wait was a year (non-reservation), Sas/2.7/Hardtop.

My advice is order everything you desire just as you would for any other vehicle. However long it takes , is how long it takes. I reserved 8/2020. Waited to order until 10/2021. One hundred and fifty days later my Bronco, exactly how I ordered it was in my garage. Good luck.

Order exactly as you want it. Why order a custom vehicle without getting it exactly as you would like it?

My thinking is I don’t want to order kit that I’ll be swapping out with after market stuff later. The roof rack, for instance. Do folks on here feel there’s a need to get an aftermarket rack for accessories that allow more storage or are there plenty of accessories that will work with the Ford issue racks? If I take the kids camping in this thing I’m going to need every square inch I can to stow stuff. Just trying to keep the end price tag down.

Cause some features aren't worth the money, would love washout floors and heated seats, but they aren't worth $5000(?).

If you are already going for a 4 door Sas Lux Badlands hardtop there is no reason to leave anything off.

The only reason to leave off items is cost or getting a quicker build date. Or to avoid all of the parking beeps and boops.
