I've never understood why Ford didn't offer a one pice top at the beginning of manufacturing, especially when they got into all the trouble with the 3 piece tops. Made out of aluminum (titanium?) would have been a definite box checked during my ordering process. Yeah I know, fun in the sun blah blah blah. Some of us have never taken the top off and never will. (Wait till you start seeing s dermatologist on a regular basis.......)
I owned a Rubicon for 10 years with a soft top, guess what? It never came off. Especially off roading!!! Are you kidding me? You know much dust there is in Utah and Colorado, to say nothing of the Mojave desert?
