That’s a good deal…I would have never expected Massachusetts to be on the low end.

I just phoned them, and wasn't able to get into details. I gather it's an elastic scale. Maybe a simple tire, mount & balance would come in on the low-end, and go up from there.

The shop I use in Ft. Worth charges $125/hr and is reasonable on hours. They charged 3 hours labor to install Eibach stage 2 coilovers, for example. Another local shop wanted $148/hr and 6 hours to install.
Lucky you that rate is very good and low. I had a small shop quote me $600 install for Eibach stage 2. I have OBX SAS and not sure I want to change. Was yours a SAS and how do you like the Eibach? I had them on my GX460 lifted it 2 inch with the Eibach and it was great on and off road.

I do all my own work if I can. However, I wanted to change springs on a pair of coilovers and I didn't have the tools wasn't really comfortable doing it. The local shop quoted $600 for that - I told them to pound sand. I took them to my Ford dealer and they did it for $75. I think if a shop doesn't want to do the work they quote outrageous prices and lose any potential business from me.

I agree a lot of these shops are busy and so quote high so they don't get the work!

That is crazy a Ford dealer did for $75 that is a couple hours minimum.

Naw, I waited for them - took 45 min. With a wall mounted spring compressor, it shouldn't take longer than that.

ETA: I am friends with the parts manager, so I probably got the friends discount.

Mine is non-Sas. I’m very happy with them.

If you’re part of a local club, host a wrenching party and help each other knock out some projects on your alls rigs.
This is the way.

IDK even know what local shop rates are, but I was quoted $100/ea to mount up tires on beadlocks and peaced out.
