Hello, does anyone have an idea on how to get to this bolt without having to remove the grille? I am gonna be installing a bracket for my license plate (similar to the 2nd photo) so I just need to unscrew the bolt a bit to slide the bracket below the screw.

Update: In case anyone having the same issue, I made myself a low profile screw driver to remove the bolts. I cut 10 mm of a T40 bit and welded it to a thin handle.

The bumper bolts are Torx Plus 40 (TP40). Regular Torx fit loosely so there's a risk of damaging the fastener. You'll want a real TP40 bit to keep in your Bronco toolkit if you plan on doing any rock crawling so you can remove the ends of the bumper for better approach clearance.

I found a different plate bracket that mounts lower on the modular bumper on bolts that are much easier to access, and it's inexpensive.

this doesn't work. so don't buy it.

i read that it works on the and it obv doesn't

still can't get a consensus on what to get or use
This kit works on almost all the bolts but, unless you have a winch or something in the way, it’s way easier to just loosen the 6 bolts and drop the bumper down than trying to get at it in such a tight spot

Mislabelled, as no-name Amazon tools tend to be, but that much should have been obvious from the picture. You can tell Torx Plus by eye - it has six lugs, chunkier than the pointy tips of regular Torx, and no pin-socket in the tip. Amazon search will not help you with this.
I have this kit. European made and available from many retailers.
